In Loving Memory...
We understand how hard it is to lie pets to rest and therefore this page was created to celebrate the lives of those furry feline's who were taken from our rescue. We will see you at the bridge someday again.
In Memoriam to Lillie who was rescued from Hamilton Animal Services a few months back, despite numerous vet visits to try to help Lillie, It is with great sadness our sweet Lillie has crossed the rainbow bridge, A special thanks to Goolnar ...for fostering this sweet girl, and who's heart is broken and to everyone who supported and helped to donate to Lillie's care. Lillie you will always be remembered and never be forgotten. All the best in your new journey over the Rainbow Bridge, you are now at peace xoxo
Pongo [14/04/12 - 23/06/12]
Pongo was born here at Neveah's Charity of West Lincoln on April 14th of 2012 along with brothers Eyore(available) and Stitch(adopted) as well as sisters Tiglet(adopted) and Perdy(adopted) - to mother Cheska(available). He was the runt of the litter. He lived each day with his family and other kittens. We began noticing Pongo's behaviour was changing and knew something was going on with the little guy. As of June 23rd of 2012 Pongo was diagnosed with an unknown medical condition. We knew what was the best for our little Pongo and we had to set him free of his misery. We are so very sad to have you leave us so young but we know now that you're in a better place and although you may no longer be with us, our memories we shared are inprinted on our hearts forever. Rest in Peace our dearest Pongo -xoxo.
We will be putting together a fund in honour of Pongo. The fund will be called "Pongo's Fund" and it will be used to collect donations to help other sick kitties in the future. Details to follow.
Smokey [??/??/?? - 28/06/12]
Smokey was part of our feral colony. She came around 4 1/2 years ago after someone decided they did not want their pet anymore. We felt bad for Smokey being outside all alone. She was petrified of people. We gave her fresh food and water daily. She had 4 litters of kittens that we know of. We pulled out the ones we could and found them homes. We actually have 2 of her kittens. Last year we TNR Smokey and had her spayed. She didn't stay mad long. Everyday after she still came up tp the front step for her breakfast etc. The past couple weeks Smokey started going downhill. We knew something was wrong. We tried to trap her to do the humane thing for her but to no avail. The past couple days she let Christine pat her on the front step. We haven't been able to do that in 4 1/2 years. Last night we found her in the doghouse in our garden (she was finally at peace) where they sleep in the rain & snow. This morning we laid Smokey to rest and gave her the burial she deserved. Rest in peace our girl. You had a hard life. xoxo.
Arctic [05/13/12 - 07/25/12]
Arctic was born at NCWL on May 13th 2012 along with brother Harley(adopted) & Sister Pingu(adopted) to mother Precious(available). Arctic was a playful kitten and got pretty wild with his brother and sister. As Arctic awaited his forever home - He started to get sick . He was not eating and drinking. After a long drive we picked him up and brought him to the vets immediately. Arctic since made three trips to the vet hospital and to each visit left us with no answers. Arctic passed away from an unknown medical condition on July 25th of 2012 in his cage in his warm bed.
Someone once told us that running a cat rescue was not going to be easy. We now understand what they meant. It's the innocent lives that are taken from our shelter and how hard it is too let them go knowing we were the only people who actually cared for them.
Arctic's life was taken at a very young age and although he may no longer be with us we know he lies in peace. His memories and outgoing, positive attitude will keep us motivated to helping other furry felines who are relying on us.

Princess [??/??/12 - 07/31/12]
Princess came to us on July 12, 2012 with brothers Narley(adopted), Felix(available) and Grizzly(available). Princess was the smallest of her family and came from a life where she had to hunt for her food and be aware of the great outdoors. This family of kittens came to NCWL and were settling in well when URV struck (It is suspected these kittens came in with the virus). Princess was about 9 weeks old when she passed away. Princess had a case of Upper Respiratory Virus and didn't make it because she was too small and weak. She fought everyday but it was her time to let go. You will be missed baby girl - rest in paradise XOXO.
Mustafa [??/??/12 - 08/17/12]
Mustafa came to us on July 20, 2012 with 5 other barn cats from a farm in Grimsby. Boe(adopted), Jet(available), Swade(available), Latte(available) & Mocha(available). Mustafa was very tiny and fragile when he came to us. We are not sure if he was the youngest or just the runt of the bunch. Mustafa did not show signs of illness but something struck inside and took his last breath. He was a very loveable, kind and gentle hearted kitten. Although he passed away from a unknown medical condition we are grateful we could provide him with 2 weeks worth of a warm bed, fresh water and a plentiful supply of food and most important the human bond. The relationship I (Christine) shared with Mustafa was amazing and on behalf of us all we will miss the little guy and he will always have a special place in our hearts. Rest in Peace Mustafa - You will be missed XOXO.
Hay Bale Kittens [??/??/12 - 11/14/12] - 4 Small Ones
Lincoln (grey tabby), Mercedes (grey tabby), Milo (brown tabby) & Otis (brown tabby) came to us at the beginning of November from a farm where the owner was placed into a home. The 4 wee ones touched our hearts and were very fragile when we took them out from the farm. They suffered from an unknown illness that took each of them one by one. The wee ones did however bring us joy for the short time they were here and they were given lots of love and human touch which they never would of known in their short little lives. Also a plentiful supply of fresh food and water, warm blankets for the time that they were in our care. Our 4 little wee ones, rest in peace just know you were all loved by someone, it is just a shame none of you ever got to have a real home and family. XOXOXO
Squish [??/??/12 - 11/25/12]
Squish came to us at different times with siblings Clementine (adopted), Twitch (adopted), Daffodil (available) and another litter Mango (adopted), Marmalad (adopted) and Squash (adopted). They all came from a barn that was demolished by new owners at a property in Cayuga. They were left homeless and went across the street looking for food. The family across the street was feeding.their mothers and them, they contacted us for help with the kittens. They brought them to us as they could catch them. Little Squish was vaccinated etc. but still couldn't make it and passed in peace of an unknown condition. Rest in peace little Squish, you were loved every day for the time you were here and never alone. XOXOXOXO
Percy [03/20/13 - 04/05/13]
Percy was born 2-3 weeks early when his mom Patience (rescued from Hamilton Animal Services pregnant) went into early labour, She had an emergency c-section and spay surgery. Percy was a little fighter and we were praying he was going to make it. Percy was loved by the foster family and held a special place in their hearts. We think he held a special place in alot of peoples hearts. Rest in peace sweet Percy. Let the angels above guide you. XOXOXO
Charlie [??/??/?? - 05/30/13]
This is Charlie, Rescued from Hamilton Animal Services with Allan. These boys were left behind when their owners moved out (that's how they ended up at HAS). Charlie was with us for a few months, He started to lose weight and we took him to the vets, with testing done we discovered he had liver disease, We tried to force feed and give Charlie medication to no avail. We made an appointment with the vet to put Charlie at peace. Charlie was humanely put to sleep on Thursday May 30, 2013. Rest in peace you sweet boy who loved to bury himself under the covers (his own tree fort). YOU WILL ALWAYS BE IN OUR HEARTS AND WILL NEVER BE FORGOTTEN XOXOX
