Ivon was rescued from Animal Control on May 31st 2012. Ivon came from the City of Hamilton (like his name on Ivon Avenue). He decided he no longer wanted the street life so he jumped into the CIty's Animal Services Truck and went to Animal Control with them. What a silly boy. Ivon is available for adoption, he is FIV & Feline Leukemia negative. He is a very sweet boy.

Please Contact Us if you would like to meet any of these kittens. - ZODIAC & BEE ARE BACK AT THE FACILITY AND STILL AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION. Precious delivered 4 babies on May 13th 2012 (Mother's Day). We are sad to say we have lost 1 of the babies but happy to say the other 3 are healthy and nursing on Precious. The above pictures were taken today. The kittens are only a few days old. Details to follow.
Today we took in 2 nursing mothers who had a total of 4 babies. Tammy was a little miserable with the transition so we moved her baby in with the other mother. The other mother took in Tammy's kitten as her own and is now taking care of it along with her 3. New pictures will be coming soon - the above pictures are temporary. These kittens will be available for adoption in the next 6-8 weeks as for they are only between 3-4 weeks old. We are still working on the sex of the kittens and providing them with names. So far we have named the black kitten Zodiac and know it is a male, we also named the solid grey kitten Joy and know it is a female. Details to follow.
Please Note: Tammy and the other mother will not be available for adoption as for they already have a home (No Pictures Available). We are proud to say that Cheska's babies are eating hard kitten food at just 4 weeks old!
They are full of energy and driving Cheska insane. Each day they are growing bigger and bigger. We are grateful that they all seem healthy and loving life. Please consider adopting a pair from this family. They are all so cute and cuddley! Look at our Adoptable Feline's Page for more available kitties. The 3 strays we rescued in mid April have made a full recovery from the URV and are doing great! For more information on the above strays please go to our Adoptable Feline's page and read about these 3 beautiful girls who are seeking their forever homes.
Just a new picture of the young ones. They are only 3 weeks old. They will be looking for their forever homes in the next two months. If you would like to meet them or put a hold on any of them please Contact Us for more information. NCWL would prefer for the kittens to be adopted in pairs as well as their mother to be adopted out with one of her babies. We are also looking for Foster Homes!!!! Please consider opening your hearts and homes to the cuties below and their mother. If you can provide them with your love and care let us know as soon as possible. Stitch, Perdy, Tiglet, Eore & Pongo
On behalf of the volunteers and representatives of NCWL I am proud to say that we did very well for our first charity event.
We had people donate food and paws. You may purchase a paw for $5, $10, $20 or another amount of your choice and it goes directly into our Veterinary Fund. We raised a little under $500 dollars and that means we can help a couple more felines in need! We thank everyone who attended and hope to see you guys at another event again in the near future. First of all I would like to announce that all our pet cat's have over come URV and are now just sneezing which they will do after treatment.
Second of all we had 3 cat's brought to us yesterday that were strays. While leaving our Vet's office today we were informed that they were all infested with fleas, had earmites and URV. We are upset that the virus is back because we were sure we had just got rid of it. Tonight we will be starting the three pretty ladies that were given to us on treatment. Pictures will be available soon. Updates to follow. On behalf of NCWL and the well-being of all the cat's out there, please, we beg of you to take care of your cat's and keep them indoors! We hope that every cat owner out there is aware of this deadly virus and hope they take caution when taking in strays and allowing your pet cat's outside. Although your feline friend(s) may be defleaded that does NOT mean they cannot get fleas again or later after being treated. Fleas can be transported from cat's in the neighbourhood or through the owner's clothes especially if they are elderly or very small children. If you notice itching, scabbing, runny discharge from their eyes/mouth or anything wrong with your cat's health PLEASE take them to the vet immediately and see what is going on with him or her. We hope that no more cat's go through this virus, the itchyness of fleas or the crawling mites in their ears! Take care of your cat's people and treat them as family. Best of luck to all the furry felines out there and their owners!! NCWL had 3 strays brought to us today. The woman who brought them to us has many other strays living around her home. Tomorrow we will be bringing these cat's the the vets.
All 3 strays are grey and white. At this time we are unsure who is male or female. Pictures & updates to follow. |
